Amanda and I went on a shopping spree last night...or rather I did, for Lauren. The girl had pretty much nothing in the way of baby stuff. I, of course being the person I am, would not allow her to have only what she had. $100.04 later, Lauren had a new diaper bag, baby sling, diapers, wipes, bottles, socks, pants, shoes, shampoo, pacifiers, and I can't think of anything else. We took the over to her house as were were planning to go to Shortcakes for lunch. When she came out there was a box and bag sitting on the floor for her. It was a very short and minimal baby shower, but it was the best we could give at such short notice. I know that she was happy and that is all that I wanted. It is hard to take care of a baby by yourself- but that is what friends are for! I'm now rather limited on how much I can spend, but I don't regret buying anything. I am excited that I will be able to be close by when she has her boy. Sharing such a thing will be wonderful. Although it might not all be wonderful for Lauren.... I don't know, I've never had a kid but as far as I know it isn't the easiest thing to do. =P I didn't take any pictures of the "shower," but I did take a picture of the stuff packed before we took it over to her.
I hope what we picked out for her are things that she likes and needs. =)
