Time for a Coffee Break.

Finally. Spring Break. Such a beautiful time. Normally it snows on spring break, but this year I will do a dance to frighten off the cold weather. I'm finally at my parents house, sitting in the den on the computer (the wireless is not being friendly to me). The kitchen remodel is on the downhill slope, and pretty much all that is left to do is get the tile in, which is still being shipped. The pantry and the refrigerator are practically in the living room, which is sort of odd, but that's the way it goes. The shelf liner and contact paper are nearly all in, and I helped my mom put away a few dishes, clearing up a small space in the living room. I also relocated the microwave and toaster from the dinning room to the kitchen. Which is much more convenient.
I am going to have to spend a lot of time at home this weekend. Tomorrow I will most likely be out and about since my mom and grandmama will be in the city, but after that I am going to have to spend a lot more time at home. I know my mom has been stressed out and doing her best to keep going, and my dad is doing his best to help without getting chewed out =P
Once the kitchen is done, the electrical box is next, since it is old and prone to catching on fire.
There are still a lot of things to be done around the house, but having the kitchen in good shape is going to help a lot. I look forward to being around this summer to help out. I seem to attract the cleaning fairies whenever I come home. I wish I could be home more to help out and be with my parents. My mom and I have a habit of talking late into the night after everyone has gone to bed (I come by my nightowlishness rightfully), and my dad and I often talk about finances and school (not as boring as it sounds). As for Grandmama and I, well, she talks and I agree to everything she says.
Needless to say, my spring break won't be spent on the beach or at a ski resort, but that's ok, I like it right here best.
Oh, and my birthday is in one month. Crazy.
